Estimators – Infrastructure – North East & Yorkshire

Overview

In this role you will deliver accurate estimates and cost plans for infrastructure projects, working closely within Turner & Townsend’s Estimating Hub. You will support clients as an embedded resource or on multi-client tasks, contributing to major programmes and the firm’s growth. You’ll apply first-principles estimates and data benchmarking to inform decision-making, with scope to influence estimating practice and knowledge sharing. This is a chance to shape cost management across rail, highways, power, marine, water or utilities.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans in a timely way
• Manage the estimating process at project level
• Prepare estimates without direct supervision
• Assist in gathering and sharing estimating data
• Support development and promotion of estimating best practices
• Help achieve departmental objectives
• Stay updated on technical developments to provide best-practice advice

Key requirements

• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience
• Experience delivering estimating and/or QS services in large project environments
• Experience with estimating software packages
• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
