Town Planner to Senior Town Planner

Overview

In this role you will prepare planning applications, draft strategies and feasibility reports, and engage with clients and authorities to shape developments. Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage planning applications and supporting documentation
• Produce planning strategies, site appraisals and development feasibility reports
• Research planning policy and monitor legislative updates
• Prepare planning statements and supporting appeals
• Engage with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary project teams
• Attend site visits and client meetings across a varied project portfolio

Key requirements

• MRTPI Chartered Planner (or working towards chartership)
• RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Proactive, organised individual who enjoys solving complex planning challenges
