Senior Data Consultant

Overview

Senior-level data consultant role focused on delivering strategic data advisory across multiple sectors. You will shape propositions, lead projects, and mentor teams while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. The role combines thought leadership, client delivery, and pre-sales support to advance data and AI initiatives. You’ll operate in a dynamic, matrixed environment and contribute to scalable, repeatable data solutions. This is a London-based opportunity with UK/Europe travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver data consulting projects, including data strategy development and Data Operating Models
• Advise clients on data management, quality, and governance best practices
• Translate complex data opportunities into clear business outcomes
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and translate them into data solutions
• Manage and mentor cross-location teams to design and implement innovative solutions
• Support pre-sales activities and contribute to thought leadership
• Develop Data & AI frameworks and methodologies to scale delivery
• Foster continuous learning and development for junior consultants

Key requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data consulting, data strategy, or a related role
• Experience leading and delivering Data & AI projects
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Currently in a major Management Consulting firm or equivalent in industry with consulting background
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Data governance, platforms, cloud technologies, AI/ML, and analytics familiarity
• Experience with consulting-led sales
