Electronics Test Engineer

Overview

In this role you will test, inspect and record manufactured or repaired products to tight specifications using ATE or manual test methods. You will work within a Quality Accredited environment to support OTTP delivery and zero-defects targets. You’ll collaborate with the team to identify issues and drive improvements while adhering to aerospace and general manufacturing controls. This position offers a 4-day week and a clear path for skill development in test engineering and quality processes. You will be part of a supportive, safety‑conscious site focused on delivering high‑quality electronics for critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect products within costed timeframes
• Perform tasks in a Quality Accredited environment to specified standards
• Identify and raise problems to the team promptly
• Collaborate with the team to support OTTP delivery
• Maintain alignment with a zero-defects culture
• Adhere to General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls
• Record results accurately and follow test programmes
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Key requirements

• Proven track record in safety and teamwork
• Willingness to undertake eye examinations and colour checks
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn new skills
• Experience with IPC 610/620 quality controls as needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications
• Organised, 6S compliant work practices
• Zero defects, right-first-time attitude
• Ability to meet KPIs for quality and output
• Proactive approach to improvements culture
• Travel may be required; BPSS clearance after offer; visa sponsorship not available
