Overview
As Tax Senior Associate at Kainos, you contribute to tax compliance, reporting and advisory for the Group, partnering with the Group Head of Tax and finance teams. You will oversee UK and global tax processes, including VAT, transfer pricing, and ad hoc projects like M&A and due diligence, shaping the company’s tax strategy across borders. This role sits in a collaborative, people-first culture that values growth and impact. You will drive accurate tax outcomes while adapting to evolving tax developments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate tax compliance for the Group’s secondment process with external advisers
- Manage UK corporation tax compliance, including drafting tax computations and notes
- Calculate quarterly payments on account and support RDEC/overseas claims
- Review quarterly UK VAT returns and oversee global VAT compliance with country advisers
- Prepare transfer pricing calculations and maintain policy adherence
- Collaborate with Payroll for tax matters arising from payroll
- Prepare tax schedules, disclosures, and maintain records for audit sign-off
- Monitor international tax developments and assess business impact
- Assist Group Head of Tax on ad hoc tax projects (M&A, due diligence, legislation)
Key requirements
- CAI/ACA/CIMA or CTA qualified
- Tax practice background with UK tax focus
- Experience delivering tax compliance and advisory projects
- Strong commercial acumen, precision under pressure
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
- Collaborative, flexible and able to work extra hours during peak periods
