Lead Software Engineer – AI-Native Applications

As a Lead/Senior Software Engineer at IFS, you will architect and ship production-grade AI-native software for enterprise asset management. You’ll apply Domain-Driven Design and event-driven patterns to solve complex customer problems and integrate AI meaningfully into product capabilities. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and design to deliver scalable, secure software that drives measurable business value. Responsibilities

• Design and ship production-grade enterprise software using DDD and event-driven architectures
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers across the team
• Integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing features (LLMs, AI workflows) to create genuine business value
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering to deliver scalable, secure solutions
• Drive engineering excellence: quality, delivery, architecture, and operations
• Balance innovation with maintainability, security and operational excellence
• Communicate risks and trade-offs early and manage technical debt

Key requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Go and modern backend development, plus TypeScript/Node.js
• Experience designing distributed systems, microservices and RESTful APIs
• Deep knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, bounded contexts, event-driven architecture
• Experience building cloud-native apps with Kubernetes, Kafka/Redpanda, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure, CI/CD, observability and production operations
• Security-minded software design and DevSecOps practices
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives
• Hands-on experience integrating AI in production software with LLMs and modern AI patterns (RAG, tool calling, agentic workflows)
• Familiarity with AI governance, monitoring and observability
• Minimum 6 years in a similar role and a degree in CS/SE/IT
