Industrial Disease Solicitor/Associate (1-5 PQE)

Overview

In this role you will support an established defendant insurance team in Manchester by handling a varied industrial disease caseload. You will provide strategic guidance to insurer and corporate clients across NIHL, HAVS, asbestos-related disease, occupational asthma, dermatitis and stress claims. You will manage matters from inception to resolution, advocate at hearings where appropriate, and contribute to client relationships and business development. Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of litigated and pre-litigated industrial disease claims
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients
• Draft legal documentation and manage proceedings from inception to resolution
• Attend court and tribunal hearings; conduct advocacy where appropriate
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX)
• Between 1–5 years’ PQE
• Experience handling defendant industrial disease claims
• Ability to manage own caseload and meet deadlines
• Experience attending court and tribunal hearings; advocacy experience preferred
• Strong client communication skills and commercial awareness
