Solutions Architect Public Sector, German Speaker, Greenfield

Overview

In this role you enable public sector customers in the UK, Germany and beyond to move their workloads to AWS. You will act as the primary technical contact for German-speaking clients, guiding discovery, architecture design, and cloud adoption strategies. You’ll collaborate with account teams to plan engagement strategies and develop repeatable plays for common scenarios. Your work accelerates customers’ cloud journeys while navigating procurement and compliance in public sector contexts. You will mentor peers and feed customer feedback to influence AWS feature roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact for German-speaking public sector customers, guiding from initial workload to production.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions in English and German to identify pain points and propose AWS-based solutions.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on territory planning and customer engagement strategies across the UK, Germany, and international organizations.
• Design foundational cloud architectures aligned with customer outcomes and public sector requirements in both markets.
• Create repeatable plays and enablement assets for common customer scenarios (cost optimization, compliance, legacy migration).
• Evangelize AWS technology through workshops, proofs-of-concept, and technical content in English and German.
• Navigate German public sector procurement and compliance frameworks alongside EU/UK procurement rules.
• Contribute to the growth of the Greenfield SA organization through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
• Share the voice of the customer to influence AWS feature and service roadmaps.

Key requirements

• Speak, write, and read fluently in German
• Experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience in IT development or consulting in software or Internet industries
