Salaried General Practitioner – Willow Group

Overview

In this role you provide autonomous GP care within a multi-site primary care network, delivering population-based health and social care through an extended primary care team. You work closely with MDT colleagues to ensure timely access and appropriate clinician allocation. You will contribute to disease management, care planning, health promotion and CPD, while supporting a forward-thinking, patient-centered primary care system. Pay / Benefits

• Salary: £110,428 per year
• Recruitment and Retention Premia: £16,881.15 pro rata
• Permanent contract

Responsibilities

• Make autonomous clinical decisions for presenting problems
• Conduct in-person, home, telephone or online consultations
• Triage calls and visits; review and sign repeats
• Screen for disease risk factors and early illness signs
• Develop care plans with patients aligned to disease management protocols
• Provide counselling and health education as needed
• Admit/discharge patients from caseload and refer as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and policy protocols
• Support systems for chronic disease management
• Record clear, contemporaneous consultation notes
• Contribute to health needs research, baseline data collection and clinical audits
• Generate and issue prescriptions per formulary

Key requirements

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
• Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (as appropriate)
• General Practice training (VTS)
• On/eligible to be on a medical performers list
• Enhanced CRB check
• UK driving licence
• Current CPR certificate
• UK work permit (if required)
• Completed GP Specialist Training
• Experience in hospital posts
• Clinical and information governance
• Strong record-keeping and time management
• Computer literacy
