Yorkshire Rivers Strategic Partnership Manager

Overview

In this role you will provide strategic leadership for the Yorkshire Rivers Partnership, aligning aims across Yorkshire Water and Rivers Trusts to deliver measurable environmental and customer benefits. You will steer multiple workstreams, manage governance and funding models, and translate strategy into concrete delivery. You’ll build trusted relationships with regulators, funders and partners to promote a nature-first, catchment-based approach. Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership and coordinate delivery across the Yorkshire Rivers Partnership
• Develop business cases, support PR29 planning and Integrated Water Management Plans
• Manage partnership governance: meetings, decision logs, and action tracking
• Oversee cross-organisational projects, monitor progress, mitigate risks
• Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders and regulators
• Identify funding opportunities and drive continuous improvement
• Lead communication and engagement to promote partnership benefits
• Deliver environmental and customer benefits from joint programmes

Key requirements

• Strong collaborative experience across organisational boundaries
• Programme or project management experience with translating strategy to delivery
• Knowledge of environmental and catchment management, ideally Catchment Based Approach partnerships
• Facilitation, communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders
• Problem-solving skills to navigate complexity and maintain progress
• Experience in identifying continuous improvement opportunities
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across Yorkshire
