Software Engineer III – Public Cloud Engineering

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer in Public Cloud Engineering, you design and deliver secure, scalable platform services for identity management across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You join at the ground level of a new IAM team, shaping technical direction, engineering culture, and operational excellence. You will contribute to architecture, production code, and data-driven improvements that support the firm’s objectives. This role offers impact at scale with cross-functional collaboration and evolving technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot software solutions with a focus on non-routine problems and scalable outcomes.
• Write, review, and maintain production code across stacks, applying governance regardless of origin.
• Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met.
• Analyze large datasets to drive continuous improvement and generate actionable insights.
• Identify hidden problems in data and influence improvements in code quality and system architecture.
• Contribute to engineering communities of practice and foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration.

Key requirements

• Passionate about coding with willingness to adopt industry best practices
• Open to using AI tooling within workflow, with critical judgement when appropriate
• Pursue skills in TDD/BDD and automation as engineering discipline
• Experience with or willingness to learn Java, Spring, Go, Python and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on cloud-native experience and ability to operate services at scale on AWS, Azure, or GCP
