Design Manager (Leading Main Contractor) | Permanent | West London

Overview

In this role you will lead the design management process for a Tier 1 contractor on multi-sector projects up to 80m. You will provide technical guidance within a main contracting environment and coordinate with the design team and external consultants. You will ensure compliance with Building Regulations and industry standards across mixed-use, education, healthcare, commercial and residential schemes. You will work in West London, contributing to a long-standing contractor’s delivery excellence and reputation. Responsibilities

• Lead design management across projects in a main contracting environment
• Provide technical guidance and support to design teams and consultants
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design activities and reviews
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and standards
• Support delivery of projects up to 80m in value across sectors

Key requirements

• Experience with Main Contractor environments (preferably Tier 1)
• Track record across sectors: Mixed Use, Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Residential
• CIA T qualification (ideally)
• Degree/HNC/ONC or equivalent design qualification
• Strong design and engineering construction knowledge
• Excellent Building Regulations knowledge
