Frontend Developer- Brussels

Overview

In this Frontend Developer role, you will design and build frontend components for a fintech/insuretech client, collaborating with backend engineers and production support. You will contribute to new interfaces from scratch and help shape testing procedures and CI/CD improvements. You’ll join a small, cross-functional team and work with colleagues across locations to deliver reliable, scalable UI solutions. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain financial tech experience with significant autonomy and exposure to senior leadership. Your work will impact front-end delivery for complex financial applications, within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, scalable frontend code that is easy to maintain
• Analyze and test software before deployment
• Collaborate closely with team members, including remote colleagues
• Autonomously tackle tasks and proactively gather requirements when needed
• Improve build and deployment pipelines (CI/CD)
• Design and develop frontend components for applications in the financial sector

Key requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software design and development experience
• JavaScript / HTML5 / CSS3, SQL, JQuery, Bootstrap, Web Services
• Working knowledge of Bootstrap or similar UI framework
• Understanding of stateless vs stateful development, and source control/CI
• Experience with dependency injection, unit testing, and object mocking
• Solid experience of the Software Lifecycle
