Data Analyst Python SQL BI – Private Equity

Overview

In this role you will turn complex data into commercially valuable insight for a fast-paced, founder-led growth firm. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from pre-deal analysis to client delivery, helping senior decision-makers with data-driven recommendations. You will build and communicate insights through visuals and outputs that support live deals, proposals, and RFPs. This is an opportunity to shape AI-enabled analytical tools and contribute to finance-focused growth in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, clean, match and test large, complex datasets
• Develop insightful analysis, visualisations and client-ready outputs
• Identify data gaps and source, enrich and transform data creatively
• Support live deals, proposals and RFPs with commercially focused analysis
• Help develop and improve AI-enabled analytical tools and agents
• Turn complex data into clear, compelling commercial insight

Key requirements

• Degree in STEM with 2.1 or above
• Commercial experience in data analysis or a high-performance analytical environment
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau or Power BI preferred)
• Experience working with complex datasets and data transformation
• Advanced problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication, commercial awareness and data storytelling skills
• Ambitious, curious and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
