Configeration Engineer

Overview

In this role you will manage configuration items and change processes within the Antennas Business Unit, supporting the transition to SolidWorks Manage PLM. You will collaborate with engineering to ensure compliance with aerospace configuration standards and maintain high-quality design documentation. You will lead change governance, customer approvals, and audits while driving continuous improvement across PDM/PLM systems. This position offers exposure to diverse, innovative projects in a collaborative environment with impact on product integrity and lifecycle governance.

Responsibilities

• Apply aerospace configuration standards to company configured items
• Manage problem reports and change notifications via SolidWorks Manage PLM
• Continuously improve the change management process
• Run the Change Control Board using aerospace configuration best practices
• Generate and manage customer approvals and change notifications
• Ensure design documentation quality and support design engineers for audits
• Govern and control company-wide PDM/PLM systems including maintenance and development
• Support document and drawing reviews and approvals
• Manage configuration requirements related to customer contracts
• Create customer-specific configuration management plans

Key requirements

• Engineering background, preferably in aerospace
• Working knowledge of aerospace configuration standards
• Attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings
• Understanding of best practices for change management and continual improvement
• Experience with PDM, PLM, and CM tools (e.g., Windchill, AllChange, SolidWorks Manage)
• Experience with data control in design and manufacturing
