Overview

As an Associate HR Business Partner in London, you support the full employee life cycle within the Human Capital Group, ensuring compliant and efficient HR delivery. You collaborate with Corporate teams and UK regulatory/compliance functions, working closely with the HCG Legal team on employment matters. You will help maintain HR data, policies, and documentation while supporting international expansion initiatives. This role offers exposure to a fast-paced financial services environment and a chance to shape HR processes and governance in a global firm.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, and Operations to support recruiting, onboarding, development, retention, and off-boarding
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and regulatory/compliance functions
  • Serve as UK employee HR policy point of contact and escalate issues as needed
  • Coordinate with HCG Legal and Regional HR for time/absence tracking, disciplinary matters, and policy issues
  • Provide HR documentation support and maintain employee records and HR databases
  • Support cross-functional projects like time tracking, policy updates, and handbook revisions
  • Assist with HR due diligence and post-close integration for international expansion
  • Ensure HR systems/procedures are up-to-date and use data analytics for decision-making
  • Partner with Office Management to coordinate in-office support for staff
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture and ensure UK policy compliance
  • Support year-end and mid-year performance review processes

Key requirements

  • Experience as HR Coordinator or HR Advisor in financial services, preferably investment banking
  • Knowledge of UK financial services regulations and employment laws
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build partnerships with stakeholders
  • Commercial mindset, resilience, urgency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to deliver difficult messages
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Confidentiality and professionalism; ability to work independently and in teams
  • MS Office proficiency and experience with HR systems and data analytics
  • Relevant HR certifications preferred
