Regional Payroll Specialist

Overview

As Regional Payroll Specialist you will own end-to-end payroll delivery for EMEA, UK and designated APAC entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing. You will partner with HR, Finance and outsourced providers to maintain strong controls and support month-end close, driving payroll transformation and continuous improvement. Your role combines payroll expertise with financial analysis and governance to back the wider Finance team. This is a chance to shape regional payroll operations in a multinational setting while upholding regulatory and internal standards.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll lifecycle across multiple regions, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll delivery
• Manage payroll accounting, journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations; support variance analysis and budgeting related to payroll
• Oversee PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, P11D, PSA, tax payments and payroll tax reconciliations; uphold internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with HR, Finance and outsourced providers; manage bonus administration and governance
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization, SOP ownership, system enhancements and onboarding activities
• Develop and monitor payroll KPIs, provider performance, accuracy metrics and reconciliation status; identify efficiency and service quality opportunities

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ multi-country payroll experience
• Strong UK payroll and HMRC knowledge
• Experience with outsourced payroll providers (e.g. ADP)
• Payroll accounting, journals and reconciliations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• ERP experience preferably JD Edwards
• Experience working within a multinational organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
