Overview

In this role you co-create 0-to-1 fintech products directly with the CEO and leadership, turning bold AI concepts into market-ready software. You bring a product-aware engineering mindset, balancing business impact with technical delivery. You move quickly, validating ideas through rapid proofs-of-concept and real-user tests, while maintaining solid architecture. You own end-to-end delivery, from API design to frontend polish, to ship globally. This is a founder-style, high-ownership role in Airwallex’s elite innovation hub, shaping the future of global banking.

Responsibilities

• Co-Author 0-to-1 products with CEO and leadership to turn strategic visions into market-ready software.
• Embed the product engineer mindset by aligning business requirements, regulatory realities, and technology to shape the roadmap.
• Execute with velocity through rapid proofs-of-concept and live-user tests to validate market fit.
• Deliver end-to-end solutions spanning backend architecture and frontend polish to reach global users.

Key requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend architecture and ability to flex full-stack when needed
• Startup or R&D experience shipping products from scratch in fast-paced environments
• Sharp product and commercial intuition with focus on user experience and business impact
• Pragmatic and resourceful with a self-starter attitude to overcome obstacles
• High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to translate vision into maintainable software
