Compliance Analyst

Overview

As a Compliance Analyst at AXIS Capital, you’ll support the design and delivery of the Compliance Plan across international insurance operations. You will work with senior leaders and regulators to strengthen governance, risk, and regulatory adherence. The role offers exposure to a broad range of regulatory matters and ongoing professional development. You will contribute to meaningful regulatory and governance projects that sustain AXIS’s compliant and ethical culture.

Responsibilities

• Support design, implementation, and monitoring of AXIS’s Compliance Plan
• Provide day-to-day compliance oversight and advisory aligned with Lloyd’s Principle Based Oversight and Lloyd’s licensing capabilities
• Contribute to enhancement of regulatory compliance and corporate governance frameworks
• Provide regulatory advice on sanctions and financial crime matters
• Engage with regulators (Lloyd’s, PRA, FCA) and respond to regulatory requests and inspections
• Coordinate SM&CR activities with senior stakeholders; maintain governance documentation and regulatory obligations
• Prepare regulatory returns and monitor regulatory developments; assist with change projects
• Assist in preparing compliance reports to senior management and boards
• Support second-line compliance monitoring and ad-hoc regulatory initiatives
• Take on additional duties as needed

Key requirements

• At least one year of experience in a Compliance Function within the Lloyd’s insurance market
• Knowledge of relevant insurance/financial services legislation and regulations
• Experience improving or implementing processes or procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication; stakeholder engagement
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team
• Highly organized with initiative and multitasking ability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
