Engineering & Improvements Project Engineer

Overview

In this role you will manage maintenance and engineering projects to support operations and site improvements, while upholding Safety First. You will lead CI activities at the Doncaster site and connect with suppliers and stakeholders to drive cost- and time-efficient initiatives. The position blends project delivery with site facilities support, embedding the CI framework to raise safety, quality, and efficiency. You’ll work in a collaborative, international environment and shape continuous improvement on a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Project management of engineering improvement, development, and new installations with strict time and cost controls
• Develop relationships with on-site stakeholders and key suppliers
• Lead Doncaster site in implementing the Orbia CI Framework and standards
• Identify opportunities to improve site performance (safety, quality, cost, equipment efficiency)
• Act as support resource for the Engineering Manager
• Maintain Doncaster site layout CAD drawings
• Serve as site point of contact for CCTV systems
• Stay updated on new technologies and assess applicability for site
• Construct business cases for capital investments

Key requirements

• Qualified Engineer with manufacturing experience
• Technical knowledge in injection moulding, extrusion, and automated assembly systems (preferred)
• Excellent communication across all mediums and stakeholder engagement
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• High degree of flexibility to meet business needs
