Associate Renewable Energy Design Engineer

Overview

As an Associate Engineer in our renewable energy advisory team, you will lead FEED, IE, OE and TA work across wind, solar and storage projects, spanning concept to construction and financing. You will work closely with developers, lenders and EPCs to deliver robust technical assessments and support commercial decisions. The role blends technical leadership with client engagement and business development within a growing UK-wide team. Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver FEED, IE, OE and TA assignments across the project lifecycle
• Manage project delivery for project finance, tax equity, sales and acquisition mandates
• Review technical and commercial documentation including contracts and financial models
• Conduct site visits, construction monitoring and witness testing
• Manage risks, schedules, deliverables and documentation across multiple projects
• Produce high-quality technical advisory reports outlining risks and recommendations
• Support clients with contract administration, variations and claims
• Lead client and stakeholder meetings with developers, lenders, EPCs, investors and internal teams
• Lead Pre-FEED and FEED design teams for wind, solar and BESS projects
• Lead Owners Engineering service delivery
• Provide business development support using existing network

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in renewable energy (IE/OE/TA, development, construction, O&M, or M&A)
• Experience supporting projects through financial close with lenders or investors
• Strong understanding of project delivery, contracts and risk management
• Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction management or related field
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently
