Software Engineer II – Cloud Technology

Overview

In this Software Engineer II role, you contribute to secure, scalable software on JPMorganChase’s Infrastructure Platforms within the Corporate Sector. You’ll work on cloud-enabled services for Azure and Google Cloud, designing and debugging components and ensuring reliable delivery. You collaborate with cross‑functional teams to apply secure coding practices and utilize AI-assisted development tools to boost quality and speed. This position offers growth as you tackle real‑world engineering challenges in a large enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Enable and manage cloud services for Azure and Google Cloud environments
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot software components with limited guidance
• Design and code with consideration for upstream/downstream systems
• Analyze data to identify problems and inform decisions for secure, stable applications
• Apply secure coding standards and leverage AI-assisted development tools within the SDLC
• Participate in automation and CI/CD practices to improve delivery and resilience

Key requirements

• Practical cloud-native experience with Terraform in Azure and Google Cloud
• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience coding in Python in a large corporate environment
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle
• Exposure to agile methodologies (CI/CD, Application Resiliency, Security)
• Emerging knowledge of cloud/AI/ML domains and responsible AI practices
• Hands-on use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools with ability to evaluate outputs
