Front-end Compiler engineer (automotive)

Overview

As a Senior Front-End Compiler Engineer, you’ll develop front-end compiler and static-analysis tooling focused on C and C++. You’ll create new checks, diagnostics and coding-rule enforcement to meet automotive safety and compliance standards. You will work with Clang, LLVM and related infrastructure to improve performance and scalability of analysis tools. This remote role supports autonomous-driving customers and collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams to shape the analysis platform’s direction.

Responsibilities

• Develop front-end compiler and static-analysis tooling for C and C++
• Build new compiler checks, diagnostics and code-quality rules
• Implement automotive coding and compliance guidelines
• Work with Clang, LLVM and related compiler infrastructure
• Improve performance, accuracy and scalability of analysis tools
• Support autonomous-driving customers with complex software-compliance requirements
• Collaborate with compiler, tooling and automotive engineering teams
• Contribute to the technical direction of the analysis platform

Key requirements

• Strong professional experience with C and C++
• Hands-on front-end compiler or static-analysis experience
• Experience with Clang, LLVM or comparable compiler infrastructure
• Knowledge of ASTs, parsing, semantic analysis and compiler diagnostics
• Experience implementing coding rules, guidelines or compliance checks
• Understanding of software quality, safety and maintainability
