Overview
In this role you will lead the preparation and delivery of high-quality project finance credit submissions, focusing on renewables in infrastructure. You will challenge risk and support origination with deal structuring, while monitoring and re-assessing the portfolio to identify early risks. You will represent the bank externally, coach juniors, and ensure adherence to policies, playing a key part in expanding energy and infrastructure financing. This is an opportunity to influence funding decisions in a mission-driven, collaborative banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and timely delivery of project finance credit submissions with risk analysis and cashflow assessment
- Provide independent risk challenge on new transactions including input on deal structures, security, covenants, and participation in meetings
- Independently monitor the existing project finance portfolio including annual reviews, ratings, and waivers
- Identify deteriorating credits early and take action (Hotspots, Watch List, or Work-Out)
- Assess new markets, products, and structures and participate in the New Approval Process as required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Energy and Infrastructure Project Finance sectors and develop external contacts
- Coach and mentor junior team members
- Represent the bank at sector conferences and participate in internal task forces and project teams
- Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures (Compliance, HR, IT)
Key requirements
- Strong experience in Project Finance and Credit with strong analytical skillset
- Familiarity with Project Finance documentation
- Ideally experience in Energy and/or Infrastructure segments
- Second European language desirable
