Machine Learning Engineer

Overview

In this role you will develop and productionise machine learning models to support Kingfisher’s Group AI initiatives. You will join a high-performing engineering squad to build scalable ML systems and ensure robust live deployments across multiple brands. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product and architecture teams to improve AI tools and practices that accelerate data-driven decision making. Responsibilities

• Develop ML models and deploy to production
• Write robust, maintainable production code
• Contribute to pipelines, tooling and automation
• Apply engineering standards in model development
• Monitor model performance and optimise
• Collaborate to capture requirements and priorities
• Share knowledge and support a collaborative culture

Key requirements

• Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, software design)
• Experience with classical ML and familiarity with NLP and deep learning
• Strong Python skills; Pandas, scikit-learn, Jupyter
• SQL experience and data pipelines for model training
• Knowledge of model evaluation, monitoring and production improvement
• Experience deploying models; Git, CI workflows, containerisation
• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively
• Comfort with statistical concepts to interpret data
