M&E Estimator

Overview

In this role you will support the bid and tender process for M&E projects in London, focusing on building services estimates. You will work closely with the project and commercial teams to prepare detailed tenders, gather technical and commercial data, and manage queries and RFIs through to award. You’ll apply NEC3/4 and IChemE contract knowledge to shape competitive bids and ensure accurate cost estimates using specialist software. This is a growing, collaborative role that combines technical insight with strong commercial execution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date understanding of technical, contractual, and commercial developments (NEC3/4 and IChemE)
• Lead and support submission and management of bids
• Prepare, revise, and submit tenders through to award
• Produce fully detailed tender estimates based on performance specifications
• Generate estimates using estimating software
• Gather data required for estimating
• Query bid documentation to resolve ambiguities and prepare RFIs for clients

Key requirements

• Tendering experience in electrics (over 3 years)
• Astute financial awareness
• Good IT skills and ability to use a range of software
• Highly organized with ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
