Front end Engineer

Overview

As a Frontend Software , you will shape the UI for our products within a cross-functional team. You will design, build, test, deploy, and maintain frontend features that deliver a seamless merchant experience at scale. You’ll collaborate with Product and Design to set priorities and ensure high-quality, accessible interfaces. This role offers the chance to work on modern fintech challenges, with impact across global markets and a fast-moving, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance frontend software solutions
• Collaborate with Product and Design to ideate and support UI for Checkout.com products
• Define project priorities and manage deadlines to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Ensure accessibility and good user experience across frontend touchpoints
• Contribute to architecture decisions with a focus on security and performance
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver end-to-end frontend features

Key requirements

• Proficient in React and TypeScript with minimal guidance
• Experience with modern software development practices and security-minded design
• Strong knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
• Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful design
• Experience with CI/CD workflows
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Customer focus with emphasis on accessibility and UX
• Experience building reliable, accessible, well-tested systems
