Medical Negligence Solicitor – 4-6 PQE – Sheffield/Nottingham

Overview

As a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence team, you will manage your own caseload from day one while supporting senior lawyers on high‑value matters. You will handle a range of complex clinical negligence cases and contribute to a respected claimant practice. The role offers hybrid working with offices in Sheffield or Nottingham and clear progression within a large, supportive team. You will work closely with cross‑functional colleagues to deliver compassionate, quality-focused legal outcomes. This is a meaningful opportunity to shape patient care cases within a growing national firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of clinical negligence matters
• Support Partners and senior solicitors on high‑value and complex claims
• Taking client instructions and providing empathetic legal advice
• Seeking interim payments to support client rehabilitation and care
• Review cases with supervisors to ensure quality and consistency

Key requirements

• 4-6 years PQE in medical negligence
• Experience handling complex clinical negligence matters
• Strong commercial awareness
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Able to attend the Sheffield office 1-2 days per week (or Nottingham with visits to Sheffield)
