Civil Design Engineer

As a Civil Engineer for nuclear projects at Tractebel, you will help deliver safety‑critical structures for HPC and SZC, collaborating with clients, contractors and project teams. You will apply structural design expertise to support design integrity, challenges in regulatory environments, and the delivery of high‑quality work packages. Responsibilities

• Complete structural design of new build nuclear structures, including seismic and blast scenarios
• Coordinate complex engineering issues among project stakeholders
• Provide technical reviews and respond to site queries to support HPC contractor activities
• Analyze structures using FEM tools (Ansys experience beneficial)
• Interface with reinforcement detailers and verify detailing models and drawings
• Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Working towards or recently Chartered with ICE or IStructE or equivalent
• Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design
• Familiarity with Eurocodes, British Standards, and ETC-C for HPC/SZC

• Proactive and collaborative within a multicultural team
• Agile, self‑motivated with focus on performance improvement
• Ability to deliver high‑quality work packages to schedule
• Reinforced concrete design
• Structural analysis (FEM) using Ansys
• Knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards
