Overview
In this Audit Partner role based in Bristol, you will lead a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements to ensure high-quality delivery. You’ll work to grow the Bristol audit practice, building strong client relationships and providing commercial insights to SME, owner-managed, and larger groups. You will mentor teams, drive audit quality, and collaborate with other service lines to offer integrated solutions. This is a partner-level opportunity with significant client-facing and business-development responsibility. You will shape the practice’s direction and contribute to strategic growth in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Deliver high-quality audits in line with UK GAAP, IFRS and professional standards
- Act as a trusted adviser, providing commercially focused insight to clients
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Support the strategic growth and development of the audit practice
- Lead, mentor and develop audit teams
- Drive audit quality, technical excellence and continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions
- Contribute to the firm’s wider strategic and commercial objectives
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified
- Significant post-qualified external audit experience
- Proven experience leading audits and managing client relationships
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards
- Experience working with SMEs, owner-managed businesses and/or larger groups
- Previous experience at Audit Manager, Senior Manager, Director or Partner level
- RI status, or the ability and willingness to obtain RI status
- Strong commercial awareness and business development skills
- Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
- Entrepreneurial and proactive approach with the ambition to contribute at Partner level
