Overview
In this role you guide end-to-end cost consultancy for private-sector commissions, delivering value-driven cost management and procurement outcomes. You work closely with clients and consultants to shape feasibility, cost plans, and post-contract reporting, driving value engineering and lifecycle cost thinking. You will lead a small team, win work in the private sector, and promote Mace in the region. This is an opportunity to shape project economics, governance, and client relationships at scale.

Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, business cases and write procurement reports
- Apply value management techniques at project outset
- Manage estimating and cost planning; own final cost plan
- Lead procurement process across all stages (prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection, contract)
- Manage post-contract cost variances and change control
- Oversee cost checking, valuations, and monthly post-contract cost reports
- Attend meetings and actively participate in project work
- Engage in value engineering and life cycle costing
- Negotiate final accounts and ensure agreement
- Serve as key interface with client and other consultants at all stages
- Marketing and business development duties in sector; support regional promotion of Mace
- Provide line management and oversee recruitment
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and member of a relevant institute
- Track record of winning and delivering private sector work (corporate real estate, retail, leisure, hospitality, mixed-use)
- Good knowledge of contracts, estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling
- Experience in negotiating, influencing and communication to command professional respect
- Digitally savvy; ability to build lasting client relationships and lead high-performing teams
