Product Business Analyst

Overview

In this role you will bridge business, product, UX and engineering to translate challenges into valuable product initiatives. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to define solutions, refine backlogs, and shape user experiences in an Agile setting. You’ll help optimise processes and analytics-driven outcomes that support risk insight and decision-making. This is a collaborative, impact-focused opportunity to help scale digital risk products in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders, product leaders, UX, engineers and analytics specialists to define outcomes
• Run discovery activities and workshops to uncover user needs and business problems
• Translate objectives into product initiatives, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Support backlog creation, refinement, prioritisation and release planning
• Collaborate with UX to map journeys and shape user experiences
• Create and maintain analysis artefacts (process flows, journey maps, data models, rules)
• Clarify requirements with engineering and testing teams throughout delivery
• Analyse processes and product performance to identify optimisations and automation opportunities
• Use feedback and data to support prioritisation and decision-making
• Contribute to estimation, planning, dependency management, risk identification and governance

Key requirements

• Experience as Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Business Analyst, Agile Business Analyst or similar in technology/digital products
• Strong proficiency in business analysis techniques (stakeholder engagement, elicitation, process analysis, solution definition)
• Experience supporting Agile delivery using Scrum, Kanban or similar
• Experience facilitating workshops with business and technical stakeholders
• Ability to translate complex problems into actionable requirements and outcomes
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process models and artefacts
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex concepts to varied audiences
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Ability to build productive cross-team relationships and manage competing priorities
