Export Control Compliance Manager

Overview

As Export Control Compliance Manager, you help strengthen Airbus’s export control maturity across UK, EU, and US regimes. You work with government bodies and internal teams to ensure compliant licensing, reporting, and risk management in a multinational setting. The role supports training and process improvements to mitigate penalties and enable compliant growth. You will be a key driver of compliance culture and integrity within a global aerospace context.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure strict compliance for export licences, agreements, and exceptions under UK, EU, and US regulations
• Represent Airbus with government agencies and cross-functional teams to harmonize compliance approaches
• Oversee audits and track implementation of recommendations across subsidiaries
• Advise internal teams, suppliers, and service providers on export control requirements
• Develop and deliver targeted export control training across the UK and engage staff across functions
• Improve processes and deploy automation tools in line with regulatory requirements and Airbus directives

Key requirements

• Experience in a multinational environment advising on international trade, sanctions and export control
• Strong knowledge of UK (preferably aerospace) export controls across UK, EU, and US jurisdictions
• French and/or German export controls knowledge would be beneficial
• Commitment to regulatory compliance and integrity in business operations
