Construction Director (Clean Energy)

Overview

In this role you will lead the construction function for a rapidly growing energy and decarbonisation business. You will oversee major infrastructure delivery across the UK, starting with a Sheffield-based project and expanding to a wider portfolio. You’ll manage programme, budget, quality, risk and H&S, while developing the construction team and contractor performance. You’ll shape delivery strategy and work closely with cross-functional teams to enable scalable, safe project execution. Responsibilities

• Lead major infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Take responsibility for programme, budget, quality, risk and H&S
• Lead and develop the construction team
• Control variations, costs, programmes and contractor performance
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting and commercial performance

Key requirements

• Senior construction/infrastructure delivery experience
• Strong client-side or developer-side background
• Strong commercial and contract management experience
• Experience across pre-construction and live project delivery
• Experience with JCT, NEC or similar contracts
• Previous experience leading construction, project management or commercial teams
• Infrastructure, energy, utilities, industrial or civil engineering experience advantageous
