Overview

In this role, you will join a Bournemouth-based Employment team to advise on a full spectrum of employment matters and represent clients in tribunals. You’ll draft key documentation, conduct research, and support business development while mentoring junior colleagues. The position emphasizes high-quality client service within a collaborative, commercially focused firm. You will contribute to thought leadership and help scale the team’s impact.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a full range of employment law issues
• Represent clients in employment tribunals and related litigation
• Draft employment contracts, policies, and key documents
• Handle new client enquiries and refer where appropriate
• Conduct legal research and propose innovative solutions
• Ensure compliance with firm procedures (AML, engagement letters, billing, time recording)
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and thought leadership within the team
• Mentor and support junior colleagues
• Participate in business development and marketing initiatives

Key requirements

• 3+ years PQE in employment law
• Strong technical expertise and ability to manage a caseload independently
• Excellent client care skills with a commercial approach
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
• Positive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset
• Experience in immigration law or willingness to learn (advantageous)
