Project Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will own the commercial management of a major package on a landmark 80m development in Western Glasgow. You will work closely with the Commercial Manager and project team to ensure robust financial control and risk management, helping the project meet commercial targets. The position offers exposure to senior stakeholders and major subcontract packages, with a clear path for career progression within a respected, privately-owned builder. You will shape commercial performance and supply chain relations in a high-profile sector.

Responsibilities

• Managing subcontract procurement from tender through to final account
• Preparing and submitting valuations, applications and variations
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasting
• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks and opportunities
• Producing accurate cost reports and supporting project financial reviews
• Negotiating subcontract accounts and maintaining strong supply chain relationships
• Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Previous experience working within a main contractor environment
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
• Proven ability to manage subcontractor accounts and project reporting
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
