Piping Project Manager

Overview

You drive the strategy and delivery plan for SZC MEH piping, shaping execution through modern construction methods and off-site fabrication. You lead a high-performing team in a complex, matrix environment, coordinating with senior leaders and suppliers to deliver safe, cost-efficient schedules. You’ll apply lessons from major nuclear and infrastructure projects to optimise risk, schedule, and performance. This role offers meaningful impact within a mission-critical nuclear project and a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies and delivery plans for the SZC MEH piping scope
• Optimise project execution plans, schedules and estimates
• Promote adoption of MMC and off-site fabrication
• Integrate lessons learned from major nuclear and infrastructure projects
• Lead and develop a high-performing team in a matrix organisation
• Coordinate with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders and delivery partners
• Influence cross-disciplinary stakeholders to meet project objectives
• Contribute to broader SZC MEH Alliance strategy and outputs

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent
• Proven track record of delivery in a high-hazard, highly regulated environment
• Experience managing and coordinating major EPC contractors
• Experience interfacing with multiple suppliers, stakeholders and technical disciplines
• Strong experience developing strategies for HSE risk reduction, schedule optimisation and cost efficiency
• Knowledge of project risk management and mitigation planning
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
