Managing Associate – Banking

Overview

In this role you will lead and manage a range of banking and finance transactions within a collaborative, flexible firm. You will work across cross‑functional teams to service lenders and borrowers, including international matters, while mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to growth initiatives. The position offers exposure to sustainable finance and impact investing with a strong client‑facing element. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a variety of finance transactions (real estate, acquisition, corporate, development, project finance, impact investment)
• Draft, negotiate and advise on facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements and related finance docs
• Advise lenders and borrowers on new lending, refinancings and restructurings
• Coordinate transaction workstreams and collaborate with corporate, real estate and private wealth teams
• Support domestic and international transactions, including coordination with overseas counsel
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for further collaboration
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers to maintain high technical standards
• Contribute to the team’s strategic growth areas

Key requirements

• 7+ years’ PQE in banking and finance law
• Strong track record leading transactions and managing client relationships
• Experience in sectors such as Sustainable Economy, Impact Investing, Financial Services, Private Wealth, Real Estate and International
• Excellent drafting and communication skills
• Commercial, proactive, professional approach
• Ability to develop business networks and leverage them for growth
• Self-confidence, initiative and innovative thinking
