Overview

In this role you will lead software development for a private banking division, shaping delivery strategy and driving cross-functional collaboration with business units. You will oversee core banking, Treasury, and finance systems, ensuring robust SQL Server reporting and system reliability. You’ll mentor a diverse team and partner with stakeholders to align technology with strategic goals. Responsibilities

• Define and implement the software delivery strategy for the private banking division
• Lead best-practice adoption for development, deployment, and maintenance in private banking
• Stay current with technologies to enhance core banking and financial systems
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of core banking, Treasury and Finance projects
• Manage risks, scope, budgets, and resource allocation for projects
• Lead and develop software developers, project managers, and QA engineers
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
• Coordinate with business units and stakeholders to prioritise requirements
• Ensure robust testing, performance, reliability, and security of solutions
• Improve delivery processes with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD tailored to private banking
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee deliverables and contracts

Key requirements

• 10+ years software development experience with MS SQL Server and SSIS
• At least 5 years in a leadership role within banking or financial services
• Experience with Equation and SQL Server environments
• Proficiency in programming languages (Java, C#, Python)
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies
• Proven track record delivering large-scale core banking, Treasury, and Finance projects
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master are a plus
