Corporate Counsel, Amazon Leo (Satellites / Communications)

Overview

In this role, you will support Amazon Leo’s international licensing and regulatory efforts, serving as a trusted adviser to cross‑functional teams on satellite technology and regulatory licensing matters. You’ll work across EMEA to assess legal implications of new initiatives, shape risk mitigation strategies, and influence leadership decisions. The role offers high-visibility, technically engaged work with global impact on bringing internet connectivity to underserved communities. You will collaborate with technical, regulatory, and business partners to navigate complex, evolving regulatory landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and analyze complex legal issues related to satellite technology and regulatory licensing
• Collaborate with technical, regulatory, and business teams to assess legal implications of new initiatives and advise on risk mitigation
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business objectives and provide proactive legal guidance
• Support senior leadership and cross-functional teams in evaluating business-critical decisions and implementing legal solutions
• Advise on telecommunications law, spectrum licensing and international regulatory matters

Key requirements

• License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction
• Outstanding academic qualifications with 5+ years of post-qualification legal experience at a law firm or in-house counsel role
