Data Engineer – Fintech

Overview

In this role you will design and manage large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines on AWS to power a fintech wealth management platform. You will work within an agile dev team, focusing on real-time data, data modelling and analysis to enable scalable data-driven decisions. You’ll collaborate across cross-functional teams to build robust data infrastructure and drive the international expansion of the client’s SaaS offering. This is a technically hands-on position with a calm, open culture and remote-first setup with London office travel.

• Design, build, monitor and manage large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines in AWS
• Data analysis
• Data modelling

Key requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Experience building complex data pipelines/ETL/ELT
• Extensive SQL experience
• Strong AWS knowledge (S3, Kinesis, DMS, SNS, Glue, Athena, RDS)
• Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery)
• Python or PySpark experience
• Experience implementing REST APIs
• BI knowledge/experience
• Familiarity with Terraform, Airflow, DBT and Harness
• Knowledge of modern data engineering practices
