Responsibilities

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to clients
• Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
• Leading commercial management services with limited supervision
• Leading within the team and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment
• Maintaining effective communication to ensure information for project completion
• Delivering outputs in an accurate and timely manner
• Liaising with other managers for resource allocation and financial control
• Providing support to team leader/service leaders in cost management of projects
• Representing the company professionally in client meetings and negotiations

Key requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• MRICS
• Awareness of sustainability requirements, carbon reduction, carbon assessments and option studies
• Data skills including cost analyses, benchmarking and dashboard/reporting
• Public/private sector experience across sectors such as offices, healthcare, residential, hospitality, major projects, government and leisure & retail
• Pre and post-contract experience
• Proficient with CostX or other Cost Planning software
• Strong technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
• Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, disciplined and commercially astute
• Team player with a can-do attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic and flexible
