Overview
In this role you lead the site’s Quality Management System and ensure compliance with Kerry standards, quality and food safety programs, and customer requirements. You’ll provide technical systems support to Quality and Production to standardise QMS activities on site. The role involves audits, traceability, and coordination of recalls and external audits, with travel for supplier audits. You will drive KPI reporting and non-conformance closure, contributing to safe, compliant, and high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the internal audit programme and ensure audits are conducted as scheduled
- Track and close out internal and external non-conformances
- Conduct factory-based food safety and quality inspections and audits (GMP, hygiene, foreign body, etc.)
- Support external audits and visits (3rd party and customer)
- Coordinate and challenge site traceability systems for compliance
- Coordinate mock recalls and post-review improvements
- Support traceability activities during customer visits or external audits
- Manage completion of quality and food safety site KPI’s
- Lead creation of customer reports and documentation
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation
Key requirements
- Experienced quality professional with knowledge of Food Safety, QMS and BRC Global Food Standard
- Degree or equivalent in Food science/technology related subject
- Strong written, numerical and verbal skills in English
- Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse data
- SAP experience is beneficial but not essential
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Proficient in MS Office tools
