Backend C# Developer

Overview

In this role you will develop and support international operating systems for a top quantitative investment manager. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and quality across complex processes. You will tackle fast-moving, technically challenging projects in a relaxed, open culture that values thoughtful decision-making. Your work will be at the core of building robust, scalable backend systems handling large data sets. Relocation is offered to Cyprus for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Further develop and support the company’s international operating systems
• Understand complex processes and systems to ensure reliability, consistency, and control
• Contribute to development projects with a flexible, multi-project approach

Key requirements

• Degree in science/computing/numerate/engineering field
• Strong backend experience with C# or Java and OOP
• Strong understanding of database development, ideally SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, indexes, and query optimization
• Experience on Windows and Unix/Linux, command line tools, scripting, and basic system administration
• Ability to work in a team and take ownership on sub-projects
• Keen interest in technology innovation and willingness to learn
• Experience processing large data sets (preferred)
• Practical problem-solving and clear communication of ideas/results
