Regional Commercial Manager, Data Center Delivery, EMEA Construction Cost Control

Overview

In this role you will provide cost support and guidance to the Data Centre project delivery team across a portfolio of fast-paced construction projects. You will collaborate with design, construction, procurement, finance and legal teams to drive cost management and value engineering. You will validate estimates, track performance metrics and lead cost reporting to stakeholders. You’ll work across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to uphold frugality and high standards while enabling efficient data center delivery. Responsibilities

• Engage and manage third party Quantity Surveyors
• Validate construction cost estimates at various design stages
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (internal and external)
• Communicate cost control goals to stakeholders
• Identify value engineering opportunities and quantify savings
• Assess project risks and financial impacts and inform the broader team
• Update historical data repository
• Define and track cost performance metrics; lead monthly cost reporting
• Analyze vendor proposals using AWS benchmark data
• Create accurate bid leveling documents
• Validate final award amount and scope per contract documents
• Implement and maintain cost control, change management, progress, and performance reporting
• Validate construction change cost impacts
• Ensure invoices are accurate and timely
• Support construction team with project close-out and final payments
• Deliver results for multiple projects with prioritized, consistent delivery

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in Project Controls Standards including Estimating, Cost Management, Cost Forecasting, Schedule Management, Progress Measurement, Change Management, Risk Management, WBS/CBS/SBS, Cash-Flow (VOWD), and Benchmarking
