Business Group Knowledge Lawyer – Real Estate

Overview

Senior Real Estate knowledge lawyer partnering with the Business Group Head to advance knowledge management and legal tech innovation. You will promote self-service tools, lead training, and support the adoption of AI-driven workflows across the real estate teams. The role blends governance, knowledge dissemination, and collaboration with the Innovation and Legal Technology teams to deliver efficient, high-quality client service. Responsibilities

• Promote and steward knowledge development across teams using third-party content and knowledge tools
• Lead training programs for trainees and early-stage talent; onboard and develop talent pipelines
• Maintain and improve tools, precedents, and knowledge repositories to support client service
• Guide and coordinate the Knowledge Paralegal; ensure effective knowledge coordination
• Champion the use of AI and the firmwide legal technology toolkit (eg Orbital and Avail) within the Real Estate Group
• Share risk, practice, and legal updates broadly applicable to the business group
• Support tender responses with knowledge-management insights
• Collaborate with business development, marketing, and content teams on horizon scanning and monitoring legal developments
• Contribute to client training, events, and the Informed Counsel programme with relevant topics
• Identify and implement new workflows and ways of working across the group

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ PQE as a qualified lawyer
• Strong knowledge of English and Welsh real estate law (Scottish knowledge helpful but not required)
• Interest in innovation and AI tools
• Experience coaching, delivering training, or mentoring colleagues
• Experience in a large professional services practice
• Self-starter with strong communication and change-management abilities
