Overview

As an Employment Partner/Legal Director in Bristol, you will lead the growth of the Employment practice across the South West within a leading UK law firm. You will advise on a broad range of employer-focused matters, from transactional support to complex disputes, while shaping the regional client base and contributing to a national team. You’ll drive business development, build relationships, and help scale the practice in the South West with autonomy and support. This is a high-impact leadership role that combines top-tier employment law with strategic growth and client leadership. Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the South West Employment practice across Bristol and the region
  • Advise on contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a broad employer client base
  • Drive business development and build relationships to grow the regional presence
  • Support or lead cross-functional collaboration with the national Employment team
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior lawyers and peers
  • Assist with strategic planning to grow market share in the South West

Key requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with 10+ years’ PQE
  • Strong Employment law expertise across employer-focused matters
  • Experience developing client relationships and generating work
  • Established network within the Bristol/South West market
  • Drive to build and grow a successful practice
  • Willingness to step into a leadership role (Partners/Legal Directors welcome)
