Overview

In this Senior Treasury role you own risk frameworks for counterparty credit and liquidity within a prominent client-cash portfolio. You will shape treasury dealing, forecasting, modelling and regulatory activities while engaging with senior stakeholders and deputising for the Head of Treasury when needed. The position offers broad exposure across strategic projects and growth initiatives in a small, expert team. You will leverage new tech and data tools to enhance risk monitoring and analysis, contributing to the firm’s treasury maturity and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop counterparty credit risk and liquidity risk frameworks across a large client cash portfolio
  • Design and run stress tests, sensitivity analyses and what-if scenarios
  • Lead cashflow forecasting and proactively identify liquidity pressures
  • Monitor exposures against risk appetite and regulatory limits
  • Act as Treasury Dealer when required (e.g., placing deposits)
  • Ensure dealing activity complies with CASS and MIFIDPRU requirements
  • Produce clear treasury analyses, risk assessments, forecasts and recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Present complex treasury matters to Executive Directors and non-specialist audiences
  • Lead interest income forecasting, model development, assumptions and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with Finance/FP&A to integrate treasury forecasts into wider planning
  • Support regulatory reporting, documentation and controls
  • Provide treasury input into strategic and growth projects across the business
  • Maximise capabilities of FIS Integrity Treasury Management System
  • Explore AI, automation and data tools to enhance treasury analysis and reporting

Key requirements

  • Proven treasury experience with exposure to counterparty credit risk and/or liquidity risk
  • Strong cashflow forecasting and financial modelling experience
  • Experience placing deposits and/or undertaking treasury dealing activity
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills with modelling and scenario interpretation
  • Experience of interest income forecasting
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Willingness to operate across the full breadth of Treasury responsibilities
  • Treasury/financial qualification such as ACT, AMCT, CFA or equivalent advantageous
