As Electronic Component Engineer you will manage the selection, qualification, and lifecycle of electronic components for automotive products. You will support design teams with technical guidance and ensure supplier collaboration to optimize performance and reliability. Responsibilities

• Select, evaluate, and approve active and passive electronic components to meet design and reliability targets
• Define and support component qualification, testing, and validation activities
• Manage component lifecycle risks (obsolescence, second sourcing, supply continuity)
• Support design teams with technical guidance, alternatives, and best practices for component usage
• Collaborate with suppliers/manufacturers to resolve technical issues and improve component performance
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Maintain component data, documentation, and standards within internal systems
• Work with Siemens EDM tools or equivalent to manage component data, approvals, and lifecycle management

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Strong knowledge of active and passive electronic components
• Experience with component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management
• Knowledge of electronic suppliers and supply chain
• Familiarity with Siemens EDM or similar component management tools
• Good understanding of REACH and RoHS compliance regulations
• Knowledge of quality, reliability, and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work with global cross-functional teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills, logical problem solving, and openness to learning through feedback
