Procurement Officer

Overview

In this role you will lead the in-house procurement function, overseeing end-to-end processes across repairs, asset management, services and IT. You’ll advise stakeholders, drive compliance and value for money, and shape procurement governance within a not-for-profit organisation. You will work with contract managers and suppliers to optimise pipelines, timetables and risk management, contributing to the organisation’s social purpose. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement and contracting processes with governance and compliance
• Provide expert procurement advice to stakeholders and promote best practice
• Develop procurement documentation and publish notices via Central Digital Platform
• Manage procurement pipelines, timetables and forward plans
• Identify and manage procurement and commercial risks
• Maintain procurement records and the contracts register
• Challenge specifications to improve value for money
• Collaborate with contract managers, commissioning leads and suppliers

Key requirements

• Experience developing and improving procurement processes and procedures
• Proven experience leading end-to-end procurement processes
• Strong knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and PCR 2015
• Experience advising and challenging stakeholders on procurement, compliance and value for money
• Experience within social housing, public sector or not-for-profit organisations would be advantageous
• CIPS Level 4/5+, MCIPS or equivalent experience would be desirable
